Farms to Families
Homecraft Building
Simcoe, Ontario
2024 — 140'x36'
About this mural
Through Nova Mutual, a mutual insurance company in Southwestern Ontario, I was given the opportunity to paint my largest community mural to date, measuring 140 feet wide by approximately 36 feet high. Coworkers, family, and friends joined me throughout the process, making it a genuinely collaborative project rooted in shared effort.
The mural reflects the interconnected ecosystem of Norfolk County, moving from farming on the left where the work in the fields begins, to the farmers’ market at the center where that bounty enters the community, and finally to the fall fair on the right, where the land’s generosity is celebrated each year.
Rendered in a simplified, almost stained-glass style, the mural was designed to be immediately recognizable and accessible. A clear, readable expression of community, connection, and shared identity.
